Clever Rice Plantation

Look at these wonderfully crafted crops.. Take note, these are not paintings, murals or the usual artwork we know. Would you believed it? These are ricefields' still-shots taken from above. Very interesting , right?  These are not the same crop cirlcle designed by aliens (lol).  These are ricefields cleverly created by Japanese farmers. Farmers creating the huge displays use no ink or dye. Instead, different color's of rice plants have been precisely and strategically arranged and grown in the paddy fields. As summer progresses and the plants shoot up, the detailed artwork begins to emerge.

Thinking our Latest Family Bonding

I copied it from my FB shout out.. hays, remembering those sweet days. I wish we always have these times together....

Mommy moja is very happy. She had a wonderful family-bonding last night with Rap and daddy Mac (aka Daddy Rai). They visited different baby and kids shops, ate out merienda at Jollibee ("Jobee" as Rap famously call it), bought few toys and Kitchen stuff, watched motor show (as Rap cheerfully claps every heart stopping stunts), rode kiddie train ride around Robinsons Mall, played childishly on almost all arcade machines, watched Cats and Dogs 3D movie, spent dinner at Beetstop, pose for a funny and wacko family pictures, and drove all the way back home to Dole Polomolok using our baby raider.

She wishes it's family bonding day again. = )

GF's Mom Found

Remember the baby  found inside the garbage bin inside the plane? Authorities already located the irresponsible mom, after traces of blood spotted on her seat. (Irresponsible... Should I say heartless mom? Grrr....) According to reports, the mother was a raped victim from Qatar. She claims that she was raped by her employer while working as a domestic helper, and after the wife found out that she is pregnant, she sent her home. Not knowing what to do and how her family would react, she left her child on a garbage bin wrapped with toilet paper of the plane's toilet after giving birth on time for the arrival of the plane to Manila. Philippine authorities are now, taking DNA sample of the child to prove the real parents. They said that the mom of the baby, is longing to see the child and is sorry for her decision to leave the baby in a trash. (Heartless mom, your baby doesn't deserve you. Let him be adopted by those who will truly show compassion and love to him regardless of any trials their new parents may encounter) The child may have been dead from suffocation if not found in few minutes. Reports says that the plane arrived 1 in the morning and George Francis (named after the plane code GF) was found around !!AM. Imagine the suffering of the child wrapped in a garbage plastic back for 10hours! God must have hugged this child 'till someone found him inside the trash.

Baby George Francis, the baby found in a plastic garbage bin inside the plane. Gulf Airline is providing diaper, milk adn other needs of the baby
To the mom of the baby, damn you! Whatever reasons you have, it may be fear or a lot of problems, how could you let your child be thrown and be suffocated in a trash bag full of bacteria (take note, it's trash bin bag! May the Lord God have mercy on you). You are too selfish, you only thought of your own good, that's why you left your child almost dying in a plastic bag!Good thing the mom (eve may be suffering from post par tum disorder?) may be filed with criminal case for abandoning her child.

Personal Opinion - Mariel Rodriguez & Tony Gonzaga Rift

Another Showbiz Rift - Mariel Rodriguez versus Tony Gonzaga

Tony Gonzaga, with a new ABS-CBN show, Kokey at Ako

I never thought that there is a squabble going on between close friends and co-hosts, Mariel Rodriguez and Tony Gonzaga. I just read on yahoo news about it recently. 'Knowing Tony as one talkative person, but she is tactful and safe in her words. How could she be in in rift with the very wacky and posh Mariel Rodriguez? The report says, the misunderstanding started when Robin Padilla requested to replace Tony Gonzaga as his leading lady on their Star Cinema's upcoming film (Tony had already completed 6 days of shooting/taping for the film). He asked the management to just hire Mariel Rodriguez instead (to make the love-comedy story more appealing and realistic, since Robin and Mariel were allegedly reported to have tied the knot before they left for India).  According to recent interview of Tony, without her detailing the cause of their misunderstanding, she expresses her deep heartache about her misunderstanding with her former close friend Mariel. She added that she is still open to be friends with Mariel again, but their relationship this time would never be the same as they were before. Tony described her feeling as too"deeply hurt".

Mariel rodriguez and Robin Padilla, got married at Baguio in an Igorot rites

Do you know Carl Andrei Leuterio?
Carl Andrei Leuterio, an 8-yr-old kid who saves a dolphin

An eight-year old kid spotted a stranded dolphin at San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro and timely reported it to authorities last month. The kids abrupt decision, saves the life of the dying dolphin. The kid's name? Carl Andrei Leuterio who is in his third grade. He said He and his 3 playmates were playing along the beach when they saw the dolphin.

Carl is the youngest to receive the WWF-Philippines award, citing his heroic action in saving the environment and its species, even in a very young age.

Celphone Charger May Kill You

Last night I watched on news, that a boy was killed by malfunctioned cellular phone charger. According to reports, the mother just saw his boy pushed the cellphone socket to plug the cellphone on. But instead, in few minutes his son died in front of her, seeing him electrocuted remorsefully.

So my dear parents, advise your kids to be careful and plugging just anything, including the celphone chargers. (Even elementary students owns his on cellphones now! I hope cellphones are regulated and should be just a fruit of their labor... like rewards, or pinag-iipunan, something like that.). Pag me konting sira or di na gumagana, just buy a new ones. Sa pagtitipid baka lalo pa tayo mapahamak, worst,it may kill us... Especially, Christmas is near, old Christmas lights must be replaced, we shouldn't repair it any more. And please buy those that have ICC certificates. Kahit made in China basta pumasa sa standard ng authorities natin, why not?! Di ba?

I hate Glee!

Leah Michelle, one of the lead of teen musical show Glee
I was able to watched the premier telecast of Glee. But i hate to say it: I never liked it at first, I didn't appreciated the character of their musical coach, which I always tend to forget, including the lead actress's role Leah Michelle. I don't know, there is something about her which I really don't like. May be her role. She's such a looser. Or may be I don't like the way she sings. Her singing makes me want to cover my ears. It's to flirty and overrated. Sa bisaya pa, yaya kaayo. I don't like her version of Journey's Faithfully, she ruined it! Too maarte, as in!  But there are few characters like Sue (whom I really anticipated her Academy Award, oh man she's good!) whom I find challenging and funny. I love the way Jane Lynch protraiyed her role as a self-centered and competitive Cheer club adviser. I also like Kurt Hummel, his gay role is totally lovable (Innocent but liberated gay played by Chris Colfer). As well as Santana Lopez played by Naya Rivera, I find her pretty simple.

But what I am anticipating this coming season is the new addition to the crew, our very own Charice. The fact that she is a Filipino, but she has an astounding and powerful voice.  At early age, and from a foreign land, she infiltrated Hollywood! Now, there is something that I will look forward to watch Glee. Go, Charice ipakita mo ang kaya natin. Charice, dahil sayo, I am proud to be Pinoy!

Charice Pempengco, discovered on internet when a fan uploaded her amateur singing contest videos from a show Little Big Star

In My Opinion - A Few Good Men

Koronadal City, currently in State of Calamity
State of Calamity

Koronadal City is declared under state of calamity. The City was flooded for 3 consecutive days. Many lives has ended as well as roperties and crops were eroded by flood. The flood is associated with the excessive and continuous rain. An estimated  17million or more worth of properties was destroyed by the calamity.

Currently our son, was at Koronadal with his lola Puring. Thank God my in-laws' house is away from the flooded area.  Thank you mama Puring for taking good care of Raph!

Police and media (ironically including bystanders) hurriedly flocked around the hostaged bus
Philippine Hostage Taking Training

My hubbyness watched "The EXPANDIBLES " last night, we were happy to see old but familiar faces (hahaha! now, you have idea how young we are). It is a good movie but I wouldn't recommend it to younger ones. Very violent. What's so amazing is, while watching it, I remembered the Quirino Grand Stand Hostage taking last month. Currently, even with overrated and repeated news about it, no result of investigation has yet been released.  Going back to The EXPANDIBLES , well, who would have thought? The members of the gang may perfectly train our SWAT. The "Sorry We Aren't Trained" men? hehehe just kidding. My friend's hubbyness is a police, as well as most of my uncles are too; so let's not be too hard with these guys. If our government is not just that corrupt and the supposed money will only go to the proper budget such as policemen trainings, ammunition and other valuable defense gadgets; probably, more lives may have been saved. Or may be our government officials are may be fair, equal and humane in dealing with  their subordinates, none of these hostage taking took place at all. Sana sa pagkakasibak lang ni Mr. Hostage Taker, maayos at fair, he would have not gone amok.

And by the way, who was that silly big boss of PNP? The fat Poncious Pilate? I don't like him pinning down he's men. Di ba dapat kasama sya sa ginigisa? And can we review our government system's hierarchy? Without stating the obvious that they are not properly coordinating as heads of their offices. Bureaucracy, that is.
Celebrity Survivor Philippines, Jon
Mind Game or Playing Dirty?

Michelle Madrigal's boyfriend and a fellow Celebrity Survivor Philippines, is now hated by everyone. It is because during the episode last night, he played a dirty trick. According to Jon, he just played the "mind game". But as everyone concluded, it was one dirty and unmanly trick. While Mama Elma Muros (known as one of the best athlete and brought a lot of medals for our country) was bearing 26 kls of weigh on her shoulders, Jon threw a silly and depressing words to Ms. Muros, saying that the weight is too heavy and she will just have to quit. Seeing Mama Elma is having a hard time carrying the very heavy weight, she also bruised herself, and as an addition to the burden, Jon is harsh enough to persuade his female opponent by making not so encouraging words. The other contender of the two is, a Japanese model,  Akihiro.

Heroic Story

On a lighter side, while preparing for work this morning, I watched on GMA& news about a taxi driver who whole-heartedly returned a bag full of techie gadget and Canadian dollars worth 40,000 in Philippine peso. What's so impressive with the taxi driver, is that even he has financial difficulty, he still returned the bag. It's easier not to be tempted if we don't really needed the money, but for the case of the taxi driver, he needs it to provide his family's needs. But of course, when interviewed on DZBB, he admitted that he also thought of keeping the money. But with the persuasion of his wife, he hurriedly called the radio station and asked to look for the owner of the bag. The owner, in return, rewarded the him,  in gratitude of the honest and kind taxi driver.

Currently, I am researching for the name of the taxi driver so that we could commend him personally. Correction, not just taxi driver but "THE TAXI DRIVER"! Kudos to you! I would definitely include you in our prayers that God will bless you more than what you have returned, good health to you and your family as well as a happy and peaceful life. (I promise, I'll try to search his name and his photo as well -- so we can proudly brag him, I will post it ASAP, once I will have his name )

Remembering other Heroic Act of Simple Worker:

  • Alexander “Stitch" Latag (not the space alien which known as Lilo's best ohana) , but a restaurant waiter who also returned a million pesos wrapped in a plastic bag after a customer left it at the resto in Makati. Later, the owner rewarded hin 100,00.. But the best reward is the integrity he gained as one honest and trusted man. Stitch, acknowledged his parents for the way he was raised, that is why it is not that hardfor him do do such heroic act.

  • Iluminado Boc, a tricycle driver ( from Tagnilaran ) surendered the money to the city police. It's may be a jackpot for Boc when he foound the money because at that time, his wife is sick and they are about to loose their apartment becauase they were overdue with the rental. But instead, he retuned the monet worth US$ 17,000.

  • Herbert Ocampo, the waiter who returned around US$100,000 (at least PhP5 Million), which he found at the coffee shop of the Sulo Hotel

  • Gilbert Tindungan (Airport Security Guard ) and William Bell ( Bureau of Immigration Intelligence Officer Paterno ), returned a laptop computer worth around PhP125,000 and US$2,700 accidentally left by a balikbayan from the USA. They would have split the money and sold the laptop; but they did what they have to.

  • Florita Mondoyo, a janitress at the Manila Domestic Airport, returned an envelope containing US$10,000, which she found at the passenger pre-boarding area while cleaning.

  • Joseph Navarro, a resort staff handed back more than US$1,000 bills unknowingly dropped by balikbayan's sister-in-law.

  • Dominic Jimenez and Gerry Soriano, military men returned a bag containing PhP 30,000 cash, which they found at the NAIA Terminal-2 northwing arrival area.

  • and hoping their species may continue to grow.
Weird

By the way, does Dole Pineapple Philippines have a fire drill today (or some sort of calamity drill)? There has been a two long (as in very long) alarm/buzz plus one regular alarm every hour, which we are use to hear regualry.  It just freaks me out. Can someone explain from Dole Pips?

Petition for an Atheist Holiday

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and  Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring  a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their  holy days.

The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized  days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel  declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor,  How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant ."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned."

You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Lesson from a Dog

While playing quiz time with my office mates currently, I find time to squeeze-in reading this forwarded story. Very nice. A behavior we must pick up from man's bestfriend. True value of loyalty, trust and love.

GREAT ADVICE!

If a dog was the teacher you would learn stuff like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.!

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back in the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout .. run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

True Meaning of Care

I found this story on a University of the Philippines students yahoo group. Interesting but I again advise you have to prepare a hanky (may be a two or 3) to wipe those tears away..

sniff... sniff... snif...

Just Stay

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside.
"Your son is here," she said to the old man.

She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened.

Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement..

The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength. Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile.

He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients.

Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited.

Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her.  "Who was that man?" he asked.
The nurse was startled, "He was your father," she answered.
"No, he wasn't." the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life."
"Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?"
"I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here.
When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed."

"I came here tonight to find a Mr. William Grey.

His Son was Killed in Iraq today, and I was sent to inform him. What was this Gentleman's Name? The Nurse with Tears in Her Eyes Answered, "Mr. William Grey............. "

The next time someone needs you ... just be there. Stay

In My Opinion - Latest News

Breaking News: No FB in China! Chinese Authorities blocked the IP connection of all social networks from selected provinces in China. This is in connection of riots started through usage of all networking sites, not only Facebook. (No FB in china: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090707210724AAIjD9M)

hah? What the ?? Is China a communist country? So does it mean we can talk about Chinese people on FB without them knowing it? hahahha! I hope Chinese government may consider also the good stuffs social networking sites are providing them.

A healthy bouncing baby boy, George Francis, 6 lbs

Heart-Breaking News: A baby was found on a toilet bin of Gulf Airlines while cleaners were preparing the plane back to Barhain after it landed Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila, Philippines) yesterday. Airline and Philippine government authorities are still on the hunt who was the mother  (whether the parents are from Saudi Arabia or from Philippines); who unimaginably concealed her givinng birth on the plane without getting the attention of other passengers. Another theory is being investigated whether the baby is really from one of the passengers from Bahrain. The baby was named George Francis, named after the initial of the plain GF 154.  (Baby born in airplane toilet bin http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1311307/Baby-born-Gulf-Air-flight-toilet-bin-jet-cleaners.html)

How could a mother have the heart of leaving his son like that?! After giving birth, she just left his son on a toilet bin wrapped only with paper towels?! Some couples will do almost anything, as in anything (including dancing insanely at Obando, Bulacan) just to have a baby! Or may be she's a very wise mom, she can't raise her son or maybe her pregnancy is a result of an extra-marital affair (damn her if she is) so it's a wise decision to dump a newly bron child on an airline where the child could possibly have a good life after. Think about it, media will feast on the new, Airline owner may have the chance to adopt the baby!.. But I guess, being a mom, i know, whereever that mother now.. She misses her son and is very regretful of not having the chance to take good care of her son. I know she is a mom, she may be right now, bleeding her heart out not seeing her child. Whoever you are, I hope your son will grow up not hating you.

The former ABS-CBN host Willie Revillame, infamously known for his insensitive and sarcasim hosting style

Showbiz News: After the tragic ousting of Willie on Kapamilya Network (ABS-CBN 2), Willie Revillame has now given another chance to start his hosting career life all over again. this time, it's on Kapatid network, TV5. The format is still the same as of the old Wowowie, strategically merging the name of main host Willie on the former show. TV5 new show for Willie will now be named "Willing Willie", same as DOS's idea in including Willie's name into the show's name.  (Willie Back on TV: http://www.gmanews.tv/story/200795/pep-willie-revillames-show-on-tv5-to-push-through-despite-row-with-abs-cbn)

What the??? How many times will Willie Revillame be given a chance... Honestly, he doesn't deserve it. I would just like to see him so way, way, way down, unless he really realizes the true meaning of humbleness (not just in words and presented acts), true friendship, true respect, honesty, loyalty and true love (love for partner, and love for other people as well). Of course, being a Christian, my mind (as well as my beloved lola who likes Willie so much) tells me to fully accept Willie and give him another chance. I do hope my heart accepts what my mind tells me to, hehehe. I'm just here waiting for him to commit another careless, nasty and unconcious mistake. Willie, I have my eyes on you... hahahha!

Marian Rivera with True to lifeboyfriend, Dingdong Dantes

Another Showbiz News: Marian Rivera as one of the best actresses on her time and one of the best babies of GMA7, is again in the height of another squabble with another actress. Neophyte Bela Padilla is the starlette whom being reffered to by the recent blind items. It has been in the news that she was verbaly and physically tormented by Marian Rivera during their tapings of Endless Love. According to Ms. Padilla's Manager the famous Bus Liner Owner  and a famous Juke-Box Queen, Ms. Claire Dela Fuente, told press that that her star received unwanted (both direct and indirect harsh words from Ms. Rivera) words, such as "Ang bobo-bobo mo, ang  landi-landi..." and other foul words. The most recent incident was the locking of Ms. Rivera to Ms. Padilla inside of the resort's toilet. Pushing her face on sink. Ms. DEla Fuente added that there were crew members who basically saw the incident and is asking to do something about Marian Rivera's alleged behavior. Bela Padilla's camp is requesting for Marian's apology.

Bela Padilla, as Yumi in Endless Love who allegedly has current rift with Marian Rivera

In addition, Marian Rivera has previous you tube videos showing her mistreat, belittle and throw harsh words to her PA, makeup artist and even fans (or alleged stalker). (Bela-Marian Rift: http://ph.yfittopostblog.com/2010/09/13/marian-in-hot-water-over-bela-%E2%80%98incident%E2%80%99/)

Marian, you don't deserve Dingdong.... If ever totoo ang accusations, wow! feeling ko guilty at takot sya mangyari sa kanya ang ginawa nya ke Karylle. Lumandi ke Dingdong and later on the Karylle-Dingdong relationship has ended and Marian received Dingdong Dantes as her award sa paglalandi.. ang word na bobo? Well, reverse psychology, it was the same word used to famously describe her when she was just starting as Marimar. Hala.. minumulto na si Marian. By the way, whose Bela Padilla anyway? hehehe.. Peace po mommy Eva..

The young husband of Talk Show Queen, Kris Aquino,  James Yap
More Showbiz News: After coming back from his vacation at California, PBA cager James Yap has been silent. It's not because he was avoiding the issue between his marital woes with the president's first-sister, Kris Aquino. James had a nose surgery. This is not in preparation of his showbiz career but the surgery was to get rid of his polyps on his nose. James underwnt Surgery: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/star/20100914/tel-why-james-had-nose-surgery-dd408b0.html

Well, health reasons... Do I need to heckle Kris and James now? Basta I suported the "No to Kris and James Annulment " at facebook. Yun lang. you might try to check on it at paki-like na rin.. Please please vote... Next time ko na lang i-criticize yung dalawa pag di na sila maghihiwalay hehehe.. Me immunity muna po sila sa aking pangheheckle hehehe

Shaina Magadayao and John Loyd Cruz, couples are always spotted together after John Loyd proudly admitted his relationship with the young actress.

Scandaleous Showbiz Bits: A scandaleous and very controversial news circulatted over the internet and TV after reports came out that Shaina and John Loyd was rushed to hostpital after having an intimate moments  together. Allegedly, Shaina's pelvis locked leaving Jonh Loyd tied with the girlfriend. Shaina's talent manager, Boy Abunda, hurriedly denied the reports and quoted that those news are below-the-belt rumors, and are malicious (possibly may ruin Shaina's career and integrity). It may have started from a joke of a Loydie fan (probably a gay), who are not favor of the relationship and wanting John Loyd to end up with either of his famous on-screen love-team, Bea Alonzo or Sarah Geronimo.  Shaina & John Loyd Sex Scandal: http://www.filipino-tv.info/2010/09/john-lloyd-shaina-lock-up-scandal-below.html
This fan is may be too angry with Loydie and Shaina's relationship =(
I do hope this story is not true. Being a Filipina, I still value virginity and inocense of a woman. Besides, is it really possible that a man's sensitive part may be stocked on a woman's pelvis? Weird. I may have to ask a doctor for this if this is really possible folks.

Husband versus Wife

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.
Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.
Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.
Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.
And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

WOMAN'S REVENGE

'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.
As she fumbled for her wallet , I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.
'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.
'No,' she replied, 'but my husband refused to come shopping with me,
and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally..'

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN

(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)

I know I'm not going to understand women.
I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,
pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root,
and still be afraid of a spider..

MARRIAGE SEMINAR

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,
Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,
'It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes.'
He addressed the man,
'Can you name your wife's favorite flower?'
Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, 'It's Pillsbury, isn't it?

CIGARETTES AND TAMPONS

A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up & down the aisles..
The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him.
He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife..
She directs him down the correct aisle.
A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton balls and a ball of string on the counter..
She says, confused, 'Sir, I thought you were looking for some tampons for your wife?
He answers, 'You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store
to get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco
and some rolling papers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo- ooo much cheaper.
So, I figure if I have to roll my own ........... so does she.

(I figure this guy is the one on the milk carton!)

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,
the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'
'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

WORDS

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day....
30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men....
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

CREATION

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be
so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !

WHO DOES WHAT

A man and his wife were having an argument about who
should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first,
and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee..
The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and
you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.'
Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee..'
Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.'
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'

THE SILENT TREATMENT
A man and his wife were having some problems at home
and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him
at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00 AM .' He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him,
when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.'
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece

God Isn't True?!

I just wanted to share a forwarded story that's so interesting.. If in one unexpected moment you were caught asking "Is God true?". Of course being a Christian you would totally reply without a second thought that God is really true. But if you were asked how would you know that someone ultimately powerful above all things exists? How? I was caught on this impromptu question not just once but twice! When I was still taking up my BS Biology course in Mindanao State University, well, being in a university whom are predominantly populated by our Muslim brothers (well, in my own opinion that Muslims and Christians are believing on the same God -- just of different savior, i think. Their Allah is my Allah too but my savior is My Jesus Christ).... Going back to my point (were was I? hahaha!) I have a math professor who is so vocal about his belief, that God does not exist. He thinks that people who believe in our so-called God are freaks, dumb and illogical. As I observed it became a past time and a pleasure for him of interrupting our class lectures by questioning the existence of my God. Being an active member of a Christian club in our university, he asked me about the authenticity of my God and how my Jesus did differ from other religions' Bathala, Manalo India's Krishna, and among other gods. Realizing that I was put in an instance that I am not prepared and helpless, I reasoned to him weaponless. Even I quoted few verses from the Bible about God's existence, but it seems my atheist professor (whom is infamously notorious for his strictness, high-IQ, education and career achievement) more looked at my belief of lesser value. All I thought that time was I wasn't able to win a battle for my Christ. I was helpless. Until I read the story below. Now, If were asked again about my God, I am now pretty sure that aside from my firm faith, and powerful prayer that I can delight my God by proving His existence, at least I have now a possible clever and witty answer to answer anybody who questions my God's existence.

                                  INTERESTING CONVERSATION

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, the Almighty. He asks one of his new Christian students to stand and.....

Professor: You are a Christian, aren't you, son?
Student : Yes, sir.
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student : Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student : Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student :Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student : No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student : From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student :Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student : No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that  death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's Intellect?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Intelligence, felt it, touched or smelt it?.....No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no intelligence, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

New Words Included in Webster's Dictionary (2009)

We were harvesting our in-laws 'rambutan' fruit tree when one of my inlaws' house boarder who's only an elementary student told me how she hated her frenemy classmate. I then interrupted her thinking that she might have mistakenly pronounced a word or may wrong used a 'jejemon' limbo(a new language created by Filipino teenagers where in English words are intentionally mispelled and mis pronounced).  Knowing that she is enrolled in a good school, I again asked her about the word "frenemy", she humbly explained that I heard her right. She said it was a word included in the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary which was released just this year.

So I hurriedly opened my internet and search for more words which are included in the new Webster dictionary.

Here were some of the interesting words I stumbled on:
  • staycation --> refers to staying home for vacation
  • vlogs --> a blog that contains video material
  • webisodes --> a TV show that can be viewed at a Web site
  • shawarma --> a sandwich especially of sliced lamb or chicken, vegetables, and often tahini wrapped in pita bread
  • green-collar --> involving actions for protecting the natural environment
  • waterboarding --> an interrogation technique use to induce the sensation of drowning
  • locavore --> one who eats foods grown locally
  • flash mob--> a group of people summoned electronically to a designated spot at a specified time to perform an indicated action before dispersing
  • sock puppet — a false online identity used for deceptive purposes — was tracked to 1959 but has taken on new popular use with people using fake IDs on social networking sites
  • reggaeton --> music of Puerto Rican origin that combines rap and Caribbean rhythms
  • frenemy --> someone who acts like a friend but is really an enemy

According to president and publisher of the Springfield-based dictionary publisher, John Morse,  says that many of this year's new words are result of changes in technology, increasing environmental awareness and aging baby boomers' concerns about their health and have become part of the general lexicon. Mr. Morse also added, "These are not new words in the language, by any means.. (But) when words like 'neuroprotective' and 'cardioprotective' show up in the Collegiate, it's because we've made the judgment that these are not just words used by specialists. ... These really are words now likely to show up in The New York Times, in The Wall Street Journal."

Words which are commonly used in covversations and now are possibly be used on print ads, then again possiblity  of inclusion of these words in the dictionary are high.

But ofcourse there are those words that still exist for years and are still famoously used but still wasn't able to make it to the Webster's list, then again, are still in the evaluation of face years in limbo as wordsmiths but still have to wait to see if they are just fads.

The author of "Word Myths: Debunking Linguistic Urban Legends," Dave Wilton says  it's difficult to draw conclusions about trends in society with just a handful of new words. The also cleared that, "It's also an editorial decision and reflects what the (dictionary) editors deemed important that year," Wilton said. "Most of these words have been around for a while but for some reason they grabbed the attention of editors this time."
