The Truth About Coke

I love Coca-Cola ("Coke" as famously called here in Philippines). I think Almost Everyone loved this carbonated drink. I almost have to be confined in a hospital (a year ago and when I was pregnant 4 years ago) of having UTI (though the product may not be the sole reason to be blamed but it contibuted to my acquired disease ). 'Still after suffering from extreme abdominal pain (caused by UTI, thank God it hadn't developed into major, major diseases like Kidney failure or Liver Problems...) I still gulped enormous amount of Coke. There's something about Coke that I go crazy about. I can't explain. It must be the strong, tingling and refreshing taste on my tongue once it reaches my mouth. It leaves something unexplainable. At work, since our company only allows Coke's rival product, I have to bear the taste of the carbonated drink sold in our cafeteria. I wanted to have a sip of Coke. It'll be at home or somewhere. It wouldn't satisfy my thirst for Coke. Even I drank a gallons of Coke's rival drink, it would never replace the taste of an 8 oz bottle of Coke. Coke rules!

But wait, Coke has more use than drinking. Here's what I read over the internet that you might be interested in. Coke can actually be used as home kitchen cleaning stuff. Here are some of it.

1.  Boiling Cleaned a burned saucepan by pouring Coke into it and
This takes out all the staining.

*I tried it, and it works. I don't have to scratch my too expensive non-stick pan!

2. It’s easy to make a modern photograph look like an old sepia one. Ju
st lightly brush the photograph with Coca Cola and dry quickly. Don’t wet it too much or it will buckle. Photocopied black and white pictures make great looking “antique” prints, if you treat them in the same way. Maps photocopied and treated this way, look fantastic in antique style frames.

*talking 'bout a non-electronic Photoshop, hahaha!

3. If you dye your hair and the result is too intense, flat Coca Cola will help to lighten it.

*'but you might try washing it off once your hair lightens up a bit, you don't want those ants feast on your hairs tasteful Coke. lol

4. Give old coins a soak in Coke. This gives a brilliant shine for collections and decorative items.5. Pour Coca Cola into your kettle and leave all day. This will remove limescale and leaves it clean inside.

*It also works with silver spoons, belt and aluminum sink. It can be an alternative MEtal polish. Wallah! Instant shine

6. A can of Coke poured into the toilet will clean it. The acid in the drink gets to work right away.

*You don't have to keep any poisonous oxalic acid, chlorine or muriatic acid on your closet. Just buy extra coke not just for refrigerator storage but also on your household cleaning closet.

7. Make an excellent barbecue sauce by mixing Coke and Ketchup , half and half. Coat chicken, meat, etc with this before cooking. It’s mouthwatering.

*Your barbeques and steaks will perfectly absorb your marinate sauce.

8. Flat Coke makes a good hair conditioner. Pour it over your hair, rinse and dry.

*I tried it, i looked like I overdosed on relaxing cream. Please do not try this one out. Unless, you might want to experience how it feels when treated with cobalt or chemotherapy.

9. Put Coke into flat wide dishes in the garden and it will help to rid your plants of slugs. They are attracted by the sweet smell and once they fall in, they can’t get out.

*Speaking of trapping those insects, you might want to wash your plants as soon as those bugs where trapped. You may not want to be attacked by unrully, bitting ants later.

10. Rusty bolts can be loosened by soaking a rag in Coca Cola, and wrapping it around the bolt. Leave for a few hours and it will be easier to move.

*Coke actualy metls rusts? Or Coke actually melts metal?

11. Clean your jewelery in a glass of Coke. Brush with a toothbrush and rinse well. (Not recommended for valuable items, or those with gem stones in them.)

*Again, Coke can take good care of our valuables. Expensive stuffs. Ah, you don't have to pay for expensive cleaning liquids to take good care of our keep sake items.

and the last but not eh least, of course.. Coke can be...

12. Flat Coca Cola helps to settle upset stomachs. Don’t use fresh, fizzy Coke as this could irritate the condition. (Take the fizz out by adding a little sugar, if you need to.)

*But of course you might want to prepare a tissue 'cuz you have to end up to a restroom to fully get rid of those undesirable stuff inside your tummy. But it will just be one time big time poo. Unless, you didn't ate anything, you're safe that you won't have to visit the rest room.

Now, you have an idea what to really buy in large amount when you are in a grocery store. Buy lot's of Coke for your refrigerator as well as stocks for your home-cleaning-closet.
